hat's
the use of a cutting-edge, interactive Website if no one ever visits
it? Why bother having members, donors or potential supporters visit
your Website if there is no way for them to interact and become more
involved? Why collect thousands of donor email addresses if you have
no means of communicating with them via the Internet?
Relatively
few national non-profit organizations have successfully linked their
Internet-based activities with their other communication and
development operations. As the Internet develops and matures, we are
convinced that it will become even more important for these same
organizations to find a truly integrated solution to their
marketing, constituency development and fundraising needs.
We
created eDonors.net, a division of The A.B. Data Group, because we
are experts in marketing, constituency building, membership
development and direct response fundraising. We are simply the best
at mobilizing people, getting them excited, angry or sad and
provoking them to take action. These skills and abilities are
absolutely essential to taking full advantage of internet-based
marketing opportunities. Many firms possess the technical
capabilities to launch such an effort. But very few can bring to the
table an understanding of what motivates donors, methods to increase
their involvement and an ability to deliver clear and compelling
messages to current and potential members, donors and prospects.
While eDonors or eActivists may be delivering the money or their
expression of support through a different mechanism, the same
talents and skills necessary to construct a successful direct
response program in the mail or on television are essential in
growing and maintaining a cutting-edge eDonor or eActivist program
in the new millennium.
We believe it is only a matter of
time - months rather than years - before the combination of websites and email
revolutionize the way our non-profit clients communicate with their members,
their donors and their potential supporters and advocates. We created
edonors.net because we were convinced that - in their rush to get up
and running on the Internet - too many organizations had forgotten
or ignored some basic needs and lessons that are essential in taking
full advantage of the revolution in cyberspace.
We
see our role to be one of helping bridge the gap between what is
possible and what is being accomplished and to help our clients take
their fundraising programs to the next level using technology from
the next century.
